The crossing, looking towards the chancel of the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, what is up the road from where do live. The triple lancet Holy Trinity window by Dunstan Powell is at the east end of the cathedral. In front, on the crossing, is the wooden painted rood, carved by Peter Rendl of Oberammergau. In front of the Holy Trinity window is another bit of carved wood, but I have no idea what it is or does. I only know the other stuff because I just read it.
